Making IRAS and CSP work for your Research Amendments

16 January 2014

Venue:  Birmingham & Black Country Comprehensive Local Research Network, Unit 1, West Wing, Institute of Research and Development, Birmingham Research Park, Vincent Drive, B15 2SQ

Time and date: Wednesday, 23 October, 2013; 10:00 -11:30

All research amendments for portfolio studies should now be processed by the NIHR Coordinated System for gaining NHS Permission (CSP) via the E-submission tab on the Integrated Research Application System (IRAS), and to support this process BBC CLRN will deliver this training workshop session.

This workshop would be suitable for Chief Investigators (CIs) or study co-ordinators and research staff who are responsible for submitting amendments through IRAS on behalf of the CI.

It will focus on ensuring that researchers clearly understand the best way to get their amendments for portfolio research working for them, i.e. notifying all participating sites, the process of submitting amendments and /or new sites, tips, ideas and workarounds.

If you are a CI, study co-ordinator, researcher leading on a study then this would be a great opportunity to learn how you can get IRAS and the work for you.

Please register via the Birmingham Research Training Collaborative and feel free to bring your experiences and any questions so we can benefit from sharing good and improving practice in our region.
