In support of Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Week, three members of staff from the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility (CRF) manned an information stand in the atrium of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

During the day the stand was visisted by 142 members of the public and staff were able to talk to them about what rheumatoid arthritis is.

The CRF staff found the public to be engaging and keen to interact, sharing  their own experiences of chronic conditions and research participation.

Staff were able to inform the public about further research in inflammatory joint disease ongoing at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
