Bio

Professor Yeung graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2001. Her PhD from University of Warwick was on strategies to improve quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Joyce is an Honorary Consultant in Critical Care and works within the Research, Development and Innovation department at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) as Clinical Director of Research. She is academic lead for the Specialised Foundation Programme at Heartlands Hospital.

Additionally, Joyce is a Professor of Anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Warwick. She leads the Emergency, Prehospital, Perioperative and Critical Care Trials group within the Clinical Trials Unit at Warwick Medical School.

Joyce is Director of the UK Perioperative Medicine Clinical Trials Network, and her research interests are applied health research and clinical trials, including improving perioperative patient outcomes. She is currently undertaking a range of clinical trials in anaesthesia, chronic pain, critical care, and resuscitation.
