The 18th Annual UK Clinical Research Facility Network Conference took place 6-7 July 2023 at Nottingham Trent University.

The theme of the conference this year was ‘Leading life-changing research: Realising the Potential of Experimental Medicine’.

Staff from the Clinical Research Facility, Inflammation Research Facility, Cancer Research Team, NIHR Birmingham Biomedical Research Centre & Research Development & Innovation attended the conference taking part in a varied selection of sessions.

One of the team also presented a breakout session entitled ‘Applying Project Management Skills to achieve effective and efficient study set up’.

Members of the teams also submitted posters based on Collaborative Research & Inspiring others.

We are pleased to say we won a prize for one of our posters entitled ‘Promoting Clinical Research through the Research Showcase Day’.

There was an opportunity to network with staff from other UK CRF’s, visit exhibitions & take part in research experiments & to also visit the Nottingham Health Research Unit which was based in the city centre promoting research & recruiting patients to the Bioresource Programme.
